Born on ( 15 June 1964 ) in Machico, Madeira Island, Portugal.
At the age of twenty I travelled to South Africa, and due to my constant desire to see the world and my family members, I continued my travels exploring the African continent, ending up staying in Australia for 30 years, creating my own family base.
I returned to Portugal, to the place where I was born, to our great Madeira, with the desire to bring all the knowledge and ideas that can enhance our country.
I believe in my DNA, in the resilience and capacity to work of my ancestors and the Perestrello family.

I'm married, the father of four children, an entrepreneur with a vision of a better future for Portugal as a whole.
I believe in the values of social democracy
I believe in Christian and family values, I respect other opinions and convictions, but I always stick to my principles.
I'm a nonconformist entrepreneur and that's why I decided to take a more active political life.
When I returned to Portugal, I realised that life for the Portuguese and new entrepreneurs was not easy, that freedom of expression is limited and democracy is not complete
I have always liked to be proactive as a citizen, I believe I have a duty to look after a better democracy in Portugal and in the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores, but above all for the interests of all Portuguese people.
I am aware of a large majority who are expressing their discontent at the perception of a divided people, at the lack of hope for a more democratic and prosperous future.
Concrete objectives for change

In my possible leadership, I would first and foremost fight for the interests of all Portuguese people, whether of different political colours or any other personal orientation.
I would immediately implement the following factors:
1- Create a party headquarters to accommodate the maximum number of militants, with a feeling of being part of this organisation and participating in its decisions that will have a significant impact on our nation; in other words, expand the headquarters to accommodate a greater number of militants, creating a more welcoming environment, making its members feel entirely comfortable in this space common to all of us.
2- All the projects to be announced by the President would be something of an internal approach, and taken to a possible vote with the aim of a majority vote. Only after this process would it be addressed in the government assembly and if it is approved then go ahead and announce it to the population.
3- Create projects whose objective would be to provide a return to the government, i.e. any projects would be the subject of economic studies and feasibility studies by outside organisations so that there would be a source of income to guarantee them.
4- Create an alternative energy programme with the aim of eliminating diesel consumption in energy production by the end of 2030/35.
5- Develop a conversion programme for Madeira's French Zone by the end of 2027, the date set for new negotiations with the authority responsible in Brussels.
6- Expanding the core of Zona França into a new area of growth for the tourism sector, rather than continually concentrating this growth in the bay of Funchal, due to the current restrictions being limited to a greater volume of growth in this sector.
7- To find qualified companies outside our environment, both in the investment sector and in the sector of services provided to central and regional governments with regard to construction and infrastructures.
8- Implement the other necessary political reforms, reduce the costs of the civil service, and review all the Secretariats, both in the Autonomous Regions and at national level, to a more appropriate number, given the size of the population and the national income.
9- Increasing and reforming inspections in all commercial and personal sectors, with the support and guidance of the European Community and the European Central Bank, with the aim of starting a programme to reduce taxes and VAT for the population.
10- Developing a community surveillance programme, by means of confidential denunciation, with regard to the development of illegal activities and anything that could harm the population in terms of its environment or well-being.
11- Re-evaluate the functions of the National Republican Guard (GNR) and carry out a study into the financial and economic impact that this entity has in relation to its functions in the national territory.
